If you love the mystery of black ceramic and the noble glimmer of gold, this Đường Vũ 210ml is the perfect piece for your tea table.
A handcrafted masterwork by Artisan Chu Dung Khảo, combining a classical form with exquisite decorative technique.
What catches the eye first is the powerful contrast:
Nixing Ceramic Body from Qinzhou: A smooth black clay, as deep as the night sky.
Gold Motif: The artisan used gold leaf to write out the text of the Heart Sutra. The radiant gold standing out against the black ground feels luxurious and aristocratic, yet no less poetic. Alongside it run flowing lines of calligraphy, lending the teapot the air of a scholar.
Side-handle design: The slender, elongated handle extends out firmly, making the pot exceptionally easy to hold and pour without any worry of burning your hand. This is a shape much favoured by professional tea masters.
Aesthetics: The rounded, balanced body paired with the long handle makes for a harmonious whole — at once unusual and familiar.
210ml capacity: The "standard" size for drinking in pairs (2 people) or a small group (3 people). Just the right amount of water so that every decanting is piping hot and full-bodied.
Nixing ceramic: Holds heat well and softens the water. In particular, this black ceramic, once "seasoned" with tea, grows ever more lustrous and gains a depth like black jade.
14-hole filter: The filter is carefully worked to ensure a strong, round stream that drains quickly.
Clean cut-off: The short, upswept spout cuts the stream decisively without dripping, keeping the tea table clean.
Snug lid: A tight fit with no play when shaken gently, keeping the tea's aroma fully sealed in.
With its heat-retaining black ceramic and 210ml capacity, this teapot is a wonderful "companion" for:
Red Tea (Black Tea) & Dark Tea: Brings out the deep red liquor and the sweetness.
Ripe Puerh: Helps the tea open up, with a rounder, deeper flavour.
