If you love the mystery of black ceramic and the noble glimmer of gold, this 220ml Đường Vũ is the perfect piece for your tea table.
A handcrafted masterpiece by Artisan Chu Dụng Khảo, combining a classical form with exquisite decorative technique.
The first thing that catches the eye is the striking contrast:
Qinzhou Nixing Ceramic Body: A smooth, deep black clay, as fathomless as the night sky.
Gold Motif: The artisan used gold enamel to paint a landscape scene (range upon range of mountains). The radiant gold standing out against the black ground feels luxurious and aristocratic, yet no less poetic. Beside it flow lines of calligraphy, lending the teapot the air of a scholar.
Side-handle design: The slender, elongated handle extends firmly outward, making the pot exceptionally easy to hold and pour with, with no risk of burning your hand. This is a form much favoured by professional tea masters.
Aesthetics: The round, well-balanced body combined with the long handle creates a harmonious whole, at once unusual and familiar.
220ml capacity: The "standard" size for tea for two or a small group (3 people). Just the right amount of water so every pour comes out piping hot and full-bodied.
Nixing ceramic: Retains heat well and softens the water. And this black ceramic, once "seasoned" with tea, grows ever glossier and more lustrous, with the depth of black jade.
14-hole filter: A carefully finished filter system ensures a strong, well-rounded stream and fast pouring.
Clean cut-off: The short, upward-angled spout cuts the flow decisively without dripping, keeping the tea table clean.
Snug lid: A tight fit with no play when gently shaken, holding in the full aroma of the tea.
With its heat-retaining black ceramic and 220ml capacity, this teapot is an excellent companion for:
Red Tea (Black Tea) & Dark Tea: Brings out the deep red liquor and its sweetness.
Ripe Pu-erh: Helps the tea release its aroma, with a rounder and deeper flavour.
