Qinzhou Nixing Clay Teapot, Qinquan Shape with Carved Bamboo
We are pleased to present to our fellow tea lovers an exquisitely handcrafted piece from one of the celebrated "Four Great Potteries" - Nixing pottery of Qinzhou.
- Teapot shape: Qinquan - a symbol of authority, with a solid, powerful form.
- Material: Qinzhou Nixing pottery (Nixing Pottery) - the more it is used, the glossier it grows, developing a patina as lustrous as jade.
- Capacity: 150ml, perfect for drinking alone or with a companion.
- Artisan: handcrafted by artisan Zhu Yongkao
The body is carved with a lively bamboo branch and sparrows, set off by gilded calligraphy against the reddish-brown clay. The motif carries the meaning "bamboo brings peace", bringing a sense of ease to the tea table.
A multi-hole plum-blossom filter ensures a smooth, even pour.
The spout and lid are precisely fitted, cutting off the water cleanly with no dripping.
