Material: raw Di Cao Qing ore – one of the rarest zisha clays, it holds heat well, letting the tea “ripen” evenly and taste round.
Capacity: 280ml – ideal for tea sessions of 4-6 people
Shape: archaic ruyi – this shape helps the tea's aroma spread freely, with a strong, even pour. In the tea ceremony it stands for respect for the way of tea and a spirit of serenity, well suited to intimate tea gatherings or to drinking tea alone.
Handcrafted by the artisan Huang Ziping (黄子平) – renowned for his high level of craft and his sharp control of detail.
Impressions: the pot takes on a glossy patina, with fine detail and crisp lines throughout. When brewing in particular it holds flavour very well, clearly lifting the tea's aroma and its lingering finish.
Excellent in use: the pot suits oolongs and sheng puerh. The pour is strong and round, and it cuts off cleanly.
A masterpiece not only to use, but one that deserves a place in any zisha lover's collection.
