Features: The Han Da shape has a bold, solid character, with a slightly tapered cylindrical body, clearly defined shoulders and a wide base. It is the shape that stands for poise and integrity.
Decoration: Plum blossoms are applied in relief or finely carved into the body of the pot. The delicate petals set against the sturdy form of the pot create a harmonious whole, balancing the hard and the soft.
Meaning: The plum blossom heralds spring and stands for purity, endurance and the wish that all things go as you desire.
A rare clay of the red clay (Hong Ni) family, distinguished by its radiant red colour and very fine texture.
Properties: Excellent heat retention and a strong ability to carry aroma. Da Hong Pao clay keeps the tea liquor "fresh" and brings out the highest, purest notes of the leaf.
Seasoning: The longer it is used, the smoother and glossier the pot becomes, its red deepening into a warm, lustrous tone like a precious stone.
A large-capacity pot, ideal for group tea sessions of 4 to 6 people.
Well suited to receiving guests in a tea room or an office, or for a household where several people drink tea together.
The filter holes are made painstakingly by hand inside the spout.
Advantages: With 14 holes, the large outflow area gives a strong, smooth and clean-cut pour. It holds back the leaves very well, with no risk of clogging even when brewing loose-leaf teas.
