1. Key features

• Nixing pottery clay: quarried from the Qinjiang River and fired at high temperature for a dense, firm body with a smooth, unglazed surface that takes on a soft patina over time

• Zhuchu shape: an upright body with a low centre of gravity and good balance, a tight-fitting lid that holds heat fully, suited to brewing Puer, rock tea, Oolong and red tea.

• Hand-carved motif: a galloping steed carved by hand in crisp detail, standing for breaking through and for fortune flowing freely.

• 14-hole filter: evenly spaced holes, a round stream, a clean cut-off and no clogging with spent leaves.

2. Function and use

- Intended use: everyday tea drinking, teaware collecting, and gifts for a shop opening, a housewarming or a business partner.

- Opening the pot: rinse clean with warm water, then simmer gently with the tea you will brew in it for 15 – 20 minutes.

- Caring for the pot: after use rinse with boiling water only, dry with a soft cloth, and never use detergent.
