1. A distinctive Shipiao Songjie teapot form:
A perfect pairing of the sturdy, classical Shipiao shape with relief-carved "Songjie" detailing (bamboo and pine nodes). The body carries plain, unadorned lines, while the spout, handle and lid knob are modelled on rough, robust bamboo nodes, a feng shui emblem of resilience and long life.

2. Smooth, warm Zhuni clay:
Made from premium Zhuni clay, fired to a dense, fine finish in a naturally elegant orange-red tone. Zhuni holds heat exceptionally well and takes a patina quickly, so the longer the pot is used, the deeper and glossier its sheen.

3. Flawless in use:
A 9-hole filter gives a clean, decisive cut-off to the pour and will not clog with tea leaves. The 200ml capacity is just right for a tea session with a close friend.

4. The mark of artisan Xu Lan:
Every detail on the pot — the incised lines, the applied relief, the seal on the base — reflects the meticulous handcraft and dedication of artisan Xu Lan.

5. Teas it suits:
