Colour: Unlike fresh bamboo with its bright yellow, smoked bamboo carries a warm dark brown / chestnut tone, giving it an antique, refined look that is very easy on the eye.
Durability: Natural smoking hardens the bamboo, improving its resistance to insects and warping and its tolerance of damp far beyond ordinary untreated bamboo.
Fragrance: A faint scent of natural wood smoke that blends with the aroma of the tea, making the tea-drinking space a poetic one.
On the dark bamboo ground, the artisan has carved supple branches of peach blossom.
Meaning: Peach blossom is not only the sign of spring and of new beginnings; in feng shui it is also a symbol of longevity and peace. A light but meaningful accent for the tea table.
Surface area 39.3 x 27.5cm: A mid-size tray, well proportioned and neat.
Capacity: Ideal for sessions of 3 or 4 people. The tray surface is wide enough to hold one zisha teapot, one tea pitcher and 4-6 tea cups without crowding.
Concealed drainage: A water reservoir underneath (concealed drainage system) keeps the table dry and clean. You can pour water freely over the pot to season it without worrying about water spilling across the table.
