Lao Zi Ni clay (Old Zi Ni): An aged form of Zi Ni clay, stored for many years, highly pure, with clearly visible mineral grains and abundant pores. This clay withstands heat exceptionally well, keeping the water temperature stable and driving the development of the tea's flavour and aroma — especially with teas that need high heat such as shou pu-erh, red tea or aged oolong.
Outstanding performance: Artisan Yu Zhen has worked the spout and handle to a superb balance. The greatest strength of this pot is its strong, rounded stream and its clean cut-off, with no dripping or dribbling at the tip of the spout.
Modern honeycomb filter: The many small holes of the honeycomb filter let the water out very fast, so you can empty the pot in a few seconds and avoid over-steeping the leaves into bitterness and astringency.
Superb finishing: The lid seals tightly — cover the air hole in the lid knob and the stream stops instantly, proof of masterful handcraft.
